While we were in Amsterdam we visited quite a few bars and coffee shops, but one of my favourites was Latei. It’s in the famous Nine Streets. We were wandering through and were drawn in by the sign painted window and the glimpse of sunshine from inside!
When you walk through the door, you are greeted by vintage furniture, the smell of coffee and a resident cat, how can you not like a place that has a resident cat? All the decor is for sale, from the formica tables to the light shades, as well as shelves full of nic-nacs and trinkets (I picked up a Blondie patch for my denim jacket). The atmosphere was so relaxed, and felt very homely, plus the chai tea and chocolate brownie was awesome. Next time you go to Amsterdam make sure you visit.
